  Pelvic Floor Dysfunctions in Women

Our approach (at Physio Gatidou) to the assessment, treatment, education, and prevention of women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunctions.

The term “pelvic floor” refers to the group of muscles that cover the base of the pelvis. The muscles that make up the pelvic floor provide support to the organs located within the pelvis (urinary bladder, urethra, large intestine, uterus) and ensure urinary continence.

Pelvic floor muscle retraining is recommended as the first line of treatment for urinary incontinence, along with lifestyle modifications.

  It is addressed to Women:

  after childbirth

  after menopause
